We're changing our calendars and taking a fresh look at fashion. The new year brings 12 months of outfit opportunities, and the Garmentory staff is taking full advantage. Whether we're reinventing ourselves or honing in on what we know, here's a peek into our closets for the year ahead.

In the style journey of 2024, I am embarking on a quest for curated refinement and conscious wardrobe choices. My focus lies in favoring quality over quantity, embracing timeless pieces that defy fleeting trends. I'll be investing in wardrobe essentials that radiate contemporary elegance while withstanding the test of time, weaving a sustainable and enduring narrative for my personal style. This resolution embodies a commitment to mindful curation, where each purchase signifies a purposeful stride toward a wardrobe that echoes sophistication and longevity.

This year, I'm embracing change and ditching things that no longer serve me. I've clung to certain pieces, yearning for that elusive 'aha!' moment amidst a burst of fireworks—the perfect outfit effortlessly materializing. Reality check for Izzy: it's just not happening. So, in 2024, I'm dedicated to crafting a capsule wardrobe that radiates confidence and I'm saying goodbye to the excess. Less is more, and (let's face it) clothes are meant to be worn, not stashed away in bins under your bed.

I'm not sure if "online shopping" counts as an official hobby, but (along with "lying down" and "playing with dogs") it's certainly mine. I'm a textbook impulse shopper and I have so many clothes I could open a resale store. For 2024, though, I'm vowing to be more intentional before I press purchase. I'll shop my closet and limit myself to buying things only for special events or if I truly need to replace something I already have. That being said, I'm excited to find the perfect dress for a wedding this summer, a couple amazing vacation outfits, and a few practical pieces for work.

I don't typically make New Year's resolutions, but it's time to refine my personal style. My focus this year is on adding items to my wardrobe that resonate with my values and spark joy. Although I can appreciate the beauty in various clothing, not every piece aligns with my wearable preferences. My style can be characterized as a blend of unconventional patterns, boxy silhouettes, and a polished presentation. If an item doesn't fit these criteria, I'll have to forego it. My goal is to curate a closet that reflects the present and future version of myself, rather than succumbing to the immediate gratification of impulse purchases.
Greg Park
Customer Experience Supervisor
Typically, I keep my style pretty minimal so I would love to explore by adding more patterns and textiles to my wardrobe. With that in mind, quality and durability will always remain important when it comes to my clothing purchases and I want to find pieces in 2024 that will last a whole lifetime! The goal is to find the right pieces that are stylish but will transcend any current or future trends—a difficult feat, but something I’d love to challenge this year!

Customer Experience Lead
For 2024, my overall style resolution is to keep natural fibers in mind for my purchases of new, non-thrifted clothing. With this foundational goal in mind, my other goals can branch off directly. My smaller goals are to purchase more staple pieces and a balanced amount of clothing for all seasons.

In 2024, I'm simplifying my life (and therefore my style!) to match my focus on what matters most. This is the year of making deliberate choices, where anything not serving a purpose gets a friendly goodbye. My mantra? Comfort, ease, comfort. With a crazy schedule in life, I'm investing in soft denim, easy daily wear, and simple, clean basics. No more sifting through a closet of half-fits and tension-inducing (breath-holding!) outfits. This year, it's about effortless confidence in a wardrobe that mirrors the simplicity and comfort I need. Not boring, not tired, but easy. Less chaos, more ease.

This year my style resolution is to purchase with intention. After years of Zoom outfits, I feel like I need an opportunity to assess my personal style and only bring things home that make me feel good. Don’t get me wrong joggers are still a mainstay in my wardrobe, but maybe less terry cloth.
